Nicole and Josh in Capetown

Hi everyone!

So we've been in cape town since wednesday :) and we love it.  We both started our volunteering thursday.  Josh at the Living Way pre-school and nicole at Living Grace homeless shelter.  Josh is doing maintenence for the rest of the week. The people we are meeting are lovely. The staff have really helped us to fit in and given us plenty to do.

Where we stay... At the moment the acts volunteer house is being moved from one place to another so us volunteers are staying at joy's b&b. its a luvly little place, it has a different beachy style, and its just behind Main Road fish hoek so its easy to get to shops and the beach. There are four other lovely volunteers staying with us.  Josh is sharing a room with matt, 18 from the US and nicoles sharing a room with Laura, 21 from canada.  Theres also Kendra, 23 from the US and Jessica 18 from scotland staying here.  Brenda and Peter who run the b&b are luvly, their always looking out for us- and we get a luvly breakfast every morning. Plus our rooms are cleaned daily and Sandiso from acts does our cooking every night! Its great.

So far we've really been settling into the place - and our workplaces-, getting over jet lag and getting to know the other volunteers.  We have bible every thursday night with the volunteers plus a few others who stay elsewhere. Last night (fri) we went over to some friend of the volunteers house at oceanview and watched a movie.  both fell asleep though.

We just bought wetsuits and are planning to go body boarding a bit.  the whethers pretty cool here at the moment- lots of wind!

Tomorrow were doing a  5km walk with the volunteers and others at living hope.  pretty much the whole cities entering i hear!  its for a cause but not sure what. other groups are walking 20, 40 or even 80kms.

I hope that you're all doing well and look forward to hearing how you are.

God bless,
Love Josh and Nicole
